Easy Cheesy Drop Biscuits

What can I say I’m a sucker for anything with cheese and garlic. These biscuits definitely have it all. They are so flavorful and easy to make it’s rediculous. After I filmed this episode I must have made these things about half a dozen times and I still can’t get enough.

  • 2 Cups Flour 
  • 2 Teaspn Baking Powder 
  • 1/2 Teaspn Salt
  • 4 Tblspn Shortening
  • 1 Cup 2% Lowfat Milk
  • 1 Head Roasted Garlic
  • 1/2 to 3/4 Cup Sharp Cheddar Grated

Biscuits: Preheat oven to 450 Deg F. Mix Flour, Baking Powder, Shortening & Salt until you have consistency of course meal. Add Roasted Garlic (see below on how to roast garlic) and Milk to mixture. Mix until you have a sticky dough, then stir in cheese. Spoon heaps of dough on to greased baking sheet and bake for 10 – 12 minutes or until crisp around the edges. Should make between 17 and 20 biscuits.

Roasted Garlic: Cut the top off of a head of garlic exposing the cloves. Place in aluminum foil and drizzle with olive oil. Make sure garlic is wrapped tightly in the foil. Bake at 350 Deg F for 45 minutes.
